Gino lives in Cherrywood Avenue,
Clondalkin.
He moved to Neilstown from Islandbridge flats in 1979.
He works as a volunteer teaching
English in the Intercultural Centre in
Clondalkin and is the spokesperson for Mastaction Clondalkin.
Mastaction (MAC) was set up to highlight the possible
health effects of mobile phone masts
and electrical pylons in the North
Clondalkin area. He joined the
Socialist Workers Party in 1995.
The June 2009 Local Election in which he won a seat in the South Dublin County Council was Gino's third time
standing as a candidate.
In 2004 he
narrowly missed out on taking a
seat in the local election. In the
2007 general election he got a
respectable 1100 votes.
Gino has
been involved in many campaigns
over the years, including the anti-water and anti-bin tax campaigns
and fighting for public amenities
for the North Clondalkin area.
He is
presently involved in the campaign
against cutbacks to bus services in Clondalkin.
