Gino Kenny - Introduction

Gino Kenny Gino lives in Cherrywood Avenue, Clondalkin.

He moved to Neilstown from Islandbridge flats in 1979.

He works as a volunteer teaching English in the Intercultural Centre in Clondalkin and is the spokesperson for Mastaction Clondalkin.

Mastaction (MAC) was set up to highlight the possible health effects of mobile phone masts and electrical pylons in the North Clondalkin area. He joined the Socialist Workers Party in 1995.

The June 2009 Local Election in which he won a seat in the South Dublin County Council was Gino's third time standing as a candidate.

In 2004 he narrowly missed out on taking a seat in the local election. In the 2007 general election he got a respectable 1100 votes.

Gino has been involved in many campaigns over the years, including the anti-water and anti-bin tax campaigns and fighting for public amenities for the North Clondalkin area.

He is presently involved in the campaign against cutbacks to bus services in Clondalkin.
